Wellness for Baby

In this 50-minute appointment, we will gently and thoroughly help your baby melt tension throughout the body that has been in place since in utero, check healing of tongue/lip and/or buccal tie releases, encourage correct shape of palate, and make sure baby has their optimal latch with their new-found freedom. Easy-to-do poses, exercises and massage techniques can be shared for continued improvement at home.

If you've heard from 2-6 professionals that your baby's latch "looks good." That "I don't see any ties." Or, "I see a little tie, but it's fine because your baby is gaining weight." But breastfeeding is still hard and/or painful... Your baby is restless, hard to settle, can't be put down for more than a minute, is gassy, makes clicking or smacking noises when they nurse, prefers a bottle, is causing nipple damage, pops off and on all the time, pinches or mashes your nipple... these are all potential signs of Tethered Oral Ties (TOTs). I can help.

Years of working with moms and babies, and apprenticing with some of the best pediatric dentists who pioneered tongue/lip/buccal tie releases, make me a quick and effective first-stop to troubleshoot what is truly happening with your baby and breastfeeding. AND, if there are probable TOTs, my recommendation gets you preferred scheduling and treatment with the best providers in the area for thorough and accurate diagnosis and releases.

In your babyCalm session, your baby
will experience Infant Craniosacral therapy, massage, nervous system resetting, Somatoemotional Release, and lactation/feeding assistance to
help relieve stressors around being fed.

Parents and caregivers will receive education, counseling, and all sorts
of tools that can be used at home
to capitalize on the work done during
your session.

Help your newborn or young child find relief from unresolved birth trauma, feeding issues, cranial pressure and/or poor head shape, stiff neck, stress, colic and poor sleep with this gentle, encouraging, and effective session.

In this highly individualized session,
April works with mom and baby to quickly identify root issues and correct them. Common issues like painful and/or damaged nipples, discomfort, misshaped nipples, long feeding sessions, baby seeming unsoothable or always tense, torticollis, problems with latching, gassiness, poor tranfer of milk, oversupply, undersupply, sleep concerns, tongue tie questions, babies hands always in the way, etc. can all be addressed and are typically resolved in one, sometimes two sessions. ​​
